Ondura Corrugated Asphalt Roofing Products of Fredericksburg, Virginia manufactures corrugated sheets and tiles for sale through home improvement centers and roofing contractors. This material is popular for its advantages including: installation can be over an old roof without having to remove the existing covering; it is lightweight and easy to install for do-it-yourself homeowners; and it is relatively inexpensive when compared to other roofing products.

Ondura corrugated asphalt sheets measure 48 inches x 79 inches while tiles measure 48 inches x 19 3/4 inches. The products come in eight colors or can be painted over using exterior acrylic latex paint to get the perfect match to a home's existing shades. Do-it-yourself homeowners can purchase the sheets at home improvement centers for about twenty dollars each. Color-matched three-inch nails are also available at ten dollars for a two-pound box.

Ondura corrugated sheets and tiles are manufactured using 50 percent recycled cellulose materials - 95 percent of which is post-consumer - making it a good green building product. According to the company website, "Ondura has been recognized by the EPA as an Environmentally Preferred Product."

History

Tallant Industries of Fredericksburg, Virginia owns the Ondura brand as well as Tuftex Polycarbonate and Vinyl Building Panels, and Ridgeline Ridge Vent Ventilation System. It employs 150 people including its production, sales and administrative staff. Tallant sells its products internationally in 30 countries including Japan, Russia, and Mexico.

Warranty

Ondura/Tallant Industries Inc. offers lifetime warranties on all of its products. The warranty states that its sheets and tiles will be free from material defect for the lifetime of the building on which the products are installed. Warranties for commercial structures are for 25 years from the date of installation.
