"A little high on price point, but well worth it."
I am a recent home owner and I purchased a home with good structural integrity. The house needed some work, along with a new roof, but it was a house that I wanted to buy to turn into a home. One of the areas that needed work was the roof. I looked locally at some roofing options, but after shopping around, I decided on the Metro Shingles at www.BestBuyMetals.com. I haven't always liked the look of metal roofing, but I looked around online and found this. I love the look that it gives to a home. Even though they are metal shingles, they do not look like the standard metal roofing you would normally think of. This product is designed to simulate standard shingles, but is made from stone coated steel. It gives great lines to the roof and performs very well in all weather conditions. These shingles do exactly as the description states and it looks fantastic. The only downside I have found, is the price. The product does include a 50-year warranty though, which was one of the deciding factors when purchasing. I had this roof installed in August 2010, so I only have seven months of experience with it, but I feel very strongly that I made the right choice. If others can afford this purchase, I would definitely recommend this product. The pros easily outweigh the cons, the only barrier is the cost. If I were to have to replace the roof during my lifetime, I would absolutely look into other products from this manufacturer.
