"Leaks"
Nearing the end of 14 years after installation the shingles have round hole the size of a nickle and smaller not related to fasteners, lack of grit, lines in shingles, fiberglass showing at lower edge of shingles. Roofing leaks and damage to roof decking.

"Fishmouthed but flattened"
Pinnacle (35-yr) installed late Jan 2011 temp in 50s-60s. First few bundles from top of pallet installed fine but became fishmouthed on all tabs as installers worked their way down pallet. Workmen could not glue down the points. After several weeks of bright sun and some days of 70's and 80's, most tabs have flattened down now in early April. Disconcerting due to premium paid for premium shingles. Rep said fishmouthing maybe due to warm stacking at factory.

"Pinnnacle Roofing Shingles are at the Top"
My house has had Pinnacle Shingles for two and a half years now and they have really increased the curb appeal! My husband and I chose architectural shingles and have been very impressed with the look of the shingles on our house - it makes our house stand out in the neighborhood but is not overly eye-catching. We have had not problems with leaking and our energy bills even came down a bit. Because I have had no problems, I cannot discuss any drawbacks for this particular brand. Roof shingles do require more maintenance than a metal roof, but as you know they are considerably cheaper and tile roofing would not go with the character of our ranch-style house. My neighborhood had hail damage about eighteen months ago and our roof was fine, but many of my neighbors have begun replacing their roofs due to damage. I have recommended these shingles to my neighbors and would gladly buy them again myself.
